You and You Alone – Sovereign Grace Music

I am enjoying this new Sovereign Grace Music album put out by Joel Sczebel, Josh Sczebel, and Pat Sczebel. Pat Sczebel is Associate Pastor at Christ Community Church in Surrey, British Columbia. Like other albums Sovereign Grace has produced, these songs blend a high view of God and musical excellence. One distinctive of this particular album is the focus on the character of God, particularly His covenant faithfulness to His people.

The song The Greatest of All focuses on the atoning work of Christ. Other songs emphasize specific attributes of God, such as his mercy and forgiveness (In You) and electing love (Jesus, You Are Beautiful). I Surrender All is a wonderful song of responsive worship (with a slower tempo). I recommend this album for your personal worship and meditation. Lyrics and sheet music are available for free, and the album is still being offered for only $6 (not sure how much longer that offer will last).
